Counterfeit
I portray an image of forgery
and like a dark counterfeiter
I take aim at imperfection and
wipe it out.
Methodically I draw the lines -alas, too few –
and make them longer.
So that they appear in the superlative
So that they appear in the plural.
Cleverly I fill
my ethereal void
with stolen ink.
And I shine in the ocean
of my total counterfeit.
A lighthouse
insecure and weak
and widely accepted ……… .
Translaled by:

A treacherous sleep
I want to surrender my self
to a sleep as heavy as death.
To exclude from his deep REM
the kisses which touched my lips and brow.
To silence in its oblivion every sound
shallow and transient.
I don’t want to have to
make decisions and seek solutions.
I want to shut my self in a frenetic silence .
To embrace a ship which is sinking
with all hands on board
and is scattering its memories into the waves
as lullaby.
I want to loose myself in a treacherous sleep
which is able to erase
the turmoil of my life .
To be reborn – without dying–
in the womb’s uncanny torpor.
I wish to be blank
like a paper never written on
and to wake up like a Phoenix
in the holocaust of my ashes ……… .

I never dream
I never dream
I’ m fascinated
by tomorrow’s surprise.
I throw my self to destiny’s wild movement
and I bow down
like the tree that should not brake.
I never dream
but … in my dreams.
In the oblivion of my sleep
I seek to overturn
what has pained me .
To bring to pass
what has not happened .
And as the night slips away
the dawn finds
my cup of bitterness, sweetened.
That’ s why I never dream.
half of my life
consists of … nights ….
