POETRY
Poetry teaches man has high duties–
To promote brotherhood and peace;
A divine destiny to fulfill–
Peace on earth, to all men goodwill.

PURPOSE
While I can’t walk on water, O Lord God,
Nor make miracles before eyes of men,
Bless and inspire me with thy grace of love,
Giving my life with a purpose. Amen

MY CREED
(In an Asian Sonnet)
I am a firm believer of world peace,
And this is my dear universal creed;
Its good name and cause I’ll always cherish,
Before men and nations its sweet relish;
The tenets and virtues by word and deed.
What is meant by world peace? What can it be
Its clustered meaning be on earth and man—
‘Tis divine blessing to humanity,
For us all to enjoy the world’s beauty,
Ours from moment of birth since time began.
This lowly simple life my example—-
Peace, Brotherly Love, and Friendship my faith,
Modesty unseen my shining temple,
‘Til my last breath whatever be my fate.
Benjamin R. Yuzon, 2004
