GLOBAL POEYTY CONTEST: RULES & CONDITIONS

  1. The UPLI GLOBAL POETRY CONTEST is open to all poets around the world, whether UPLI members or not. There is no fee to enter the contest.
  2. A contestant may submit only one poem per category, and may not submit the same poem in two or more categories. (Thus, the contestant may enter several categories, but with a different poem for each category.)
  3. Contestants may submit their entries only through the two ways designated (See HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR POEM/S below).
  4. UPLI will not be responsible for entries not properly sent or not received, but will acknowledge by email reply entries that are received.
  5. While all reasonable steps and safeguards will be taken to ensure the proper receipt, handling and judging of entries, announcement of winners and giving / sending of prizes, UPLI, its officials and representatives, will assume no liability of any kind in case of lapses due to any technical or human error arising from the management and conduct of the contest.
  6. Upon submitting their entries, all contestants automatically give UPLI the right to publish their entered poems in any future publication (printed or digital) of UPLI.
  7. We are announcing that upon the request of poets and poetry groups, the contest will run from August 16, 2014 to February 15, 2015. Unless otherwise announced in advance, entries received after February 15, 2015 will not be accepted. As originally scheduled, finalists and winners will be announced within March 2015, and the prizes will be awarded as soon as possible thereafter.
