Congratulations to the 90 finalists with 27 medalists (gold, silver and bronze) of the recently concluded UPLI Global Poetry Contest!

The list below reflects the finalists and medalists in the nine categories.
Here is a recap of the previously announced prizes to be awarded in each category:

First Prize – Gold Medal and US $300.00
Second Prize – Silver Medal and US $200.00
Third Prize – Bronze Medal and US $100.00

All ten finalists will receive certificates of award and will be entitled to one-year exemption from the $25 annual dues. Finalists who are not members of UPLI may apply for membership (see UPLI website for simplified application) and will be immediately exempt from their first-year dues upon acceptance in UPLI.

The three cash prize winners in each category will receive their prizes from Ms. Valerie Pennington, UPLI Treasurer, at the earliest possible time, depending on their country of residence and the ease of remittance. Winners are requested to e-mail Ms. Pennington (treasurerupli@yahoo.com) on the best mode of payment with specific instructions to facilitate and expedite receiving of their prizes.

Certificates and medals will be sent out from the office of the UPLI President at a later date to allow time for production and personalization to include the names of the individual winners.

The poems of all the finalists and medal winners will be featured sequentially by category in the “Laurel Leaves” section of the UPLI website.

UPLI thanks the hundreds of poets who participated in its first online global poetry contest and extends its warmest congratulations to the deserving winners.
