ALTHYA, A LADY OF INSPIRING GRACE

by Alisha Rodrigues

She sprang from the loins of the Muse of Music.
A fragile pink flower in full bloom.
Yet tenacious as Virginia Creeper.
Peace and Harmony through the arts, her special cause.

Althya — friend, mentor and Grand Lady
She made the world a better place,
touched the hearts of many,
Radiated Love.

She has left this place called Earth
to sit in heavenly splendor.
And once again to talk with Gandhi,
Dance with Ruth St. Denis,
Speak of poetry with Raymond Duncan,
Play “heart harps” with Juanita Miller
Old friends gone from Earth before her.

She waits for us with hands outstretched,
A smile on her lips,
This lady of grace and light
who inspired us all.
