This group started after the workshop on Lục Bát at the 24th World Congress of Poets. There was a Lục bát workshop where international poets learned about the Vietnamese poetry form from Lê Phạm Lê, Viet Nam/USA, with Tanya Joyce, USA. The members of the workshop were so excited that they have kept in touch after the Congress finished and they scattered to their respective homes.
