Alisha is a charter member of Natica Angilly's Poetic Dance Theater Company, an author, Poet Laureate, visual artist, creator of masks and Vice President of Artists Embassy International.
She does not compose poetry, but transcribes what comes to her from the ethers. She is a native of California, retired in Idaho on eleven acres with the four peaks of the Grand Teton mountains framed in her windows. She is spending time with her great grandchildren and her Akita, Niki.

We humans never learn.
We have been killing each other since day two.
For centuries we have been seeking compassion,
empathy, understanding and unconditional love.
When will we humans finally obtain what we seek?
The world is in need of harmony.

Lightning lights up the sky
Comes to earth in a zig zag of fire
Grass and tree smolder, erupt into flames
The forest is ablaze
Thick smoke clogs the air
Flames roar down the mountains to the sea
Creatures run, people flee
California is burning.
There are fire fighters from everywhere
Caustic smoke fills their lungs, burns throats
Eyes sting, fill with tears
They shovel dirt on the flames
Dig trenches and set back fires
Helicopters drop water bombs
California is burning.
The forest burst into flames
Trees crash to earth in a shower of orange
Birds are silent, smoke obliterates the sun
Houses and life treasures are destroyed
The heat is intense, rock shatter t
Lakes and rivers are covered in ash
The sky is dark, oppressive
Smoke engulfs the soul of man
California is burning
California will survive
Her people are hardy
They will plant and build
Trees will rise from the earth
Wild flowers will bloom
Green grass will cover the earth
Birds will sing and creatures return
California will rise again
