Shrinithyaa Gopalan is a techno-functional consultant by profession with passion for poetry. She is also interested in travelling, photography, psychology, science, technology and business finance. Her career experience spans from working in software and finance insurance sector for over a decade and then into portfolio management. She was a 2015 Finalist Winner in the UPLI Global Peace Poetry Contest, 2015 Finalist Winner in the Anthology of Poetry Society India. She also was a staff writer in the Glenview Lantern (IL) newspaper from 2012 to 2016. Her poem, “Love”, was released in a CD sound of poetry, by poetry.com for the year 2002. She also won Quora Top writer (English) for the Year 2018 and a Quora Top writer (Tamil Language) for 2020 by the Quora Global Question and Answer website quora.com

They sing or happily coo around
Look at the happy pet dog
He is funny and sleeps like a log
Look at the lovely peacock
She is all the beauty in stock
Look at the mighty elephant
His charm is alluring to enchant
Do these animals and birds,
Fight in the name of religion or words?
Do these natural living beings,
Desire to destroy fellow earthlings?
Do you see tiny living things
Cage themselves as limited beings?
There is inner peace everywhere
It is often disturbed by human warfare
In the name of religion, region, gender
Race, groups, land and border
We fight nonstop to get extinct
Fighting has become our only instinct
All living creatures sans mankind
Are indeed loving and very kind
They do not intrude in innate peace
When will these wars cease?
Let us resolve to serve this planet
Make this as a great peace magnet
Let humans show they have intelligence
By peaceful efforts in emergence

Lovely glitter
I love to see
feel the happiness
The crystal emits
The natural shine
Is a happy rain
Crystals are natural gifts
To rejuvenate our moods
To feel the happiness

Certain things happen in life, that are precious
Certain people come in life, so sagacious
Love in its every shade is so beautiful
Every part of it is truly soulful
The intensity of energies are unique,
Contrasting whether so sophisticated or rustic
The degree of communication so blissful
Whether sender or receiver it is resourceful!
The aura or enormous nature of energy
Combined with inexplicable levels of synergy
Whenever wherever such magic happens
Know that heaven on earth Summons!
When there is harmony in home
Life overall becomes more wholesome
When there is harmony in the street
There is happiness when all people meet
When there is harmony in our neighborhood
Our children get awesome childhood
When there is harmony in our village
We feel peace even at old age
When there is harmony in our city
Our lives reverberate with joy and beauty
When there is harmony in our region
We feel the love of the symbolic pigeon
When there is harmony in our country
We can stop war and evil entry
When there is peace with neighboring countries
There is a collective learning for centuries
When there is peace in our continent
We can feel the power of Peace so sentient
When there is harmony in the entire world
Even Mother earth moves with energy whirled!
When there is harmony in our entire universe
Everything becomes in synch and easy to traverse
Everything starts from peace within and inside home
For our future generation we will set a peaceful epitome
