HISTORY OF WORLD CONGRESS OF POETS

The World Congress of Poets (WCP) was founded in 1969 by Amado M. Yuzon, Krishna Srinivas, Lou LuTour and Tin-Wen Chung. The World Congress of Poets has been conducted since 1969 in various countries around the world and is an international recognized cultural event. Held every two years by the United Poets Laureate International (UPLI), the parent organization of the WCP, the aim of the World Congress of Poets is to promote “World Brotherhood and Peace through Poetry” without discrimination of race, religion and nationality.
