Ms. Mary E. Halliburton, LWL is a UPLI past Congress President and a Laureate Woman of Letters with the United Poets Laureates International. She is an award winning poet and published in more than one hundred-five publications. Mary was president of the 20th World Congress of Poets held in Montgomery, AL. in 2007 where 39 countries were represented. Her book “Picture Poetry,” is one of only two books published on the subject of Shaped/Concrete Poetry. She is past President of the Montgomery Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, past President of Alabama State Poetry Society, and twice President of the Press and Authors of Montgomery. She has judged in many national and international poetry contests over the past twenty-four years.
